Anthropic Starts ID Verification — Louis Rossmann on Politics, Inertia, and a Worsening Loop

Louis Rossmann is best known as the public face of the Right to Repair movement. This video tackles Anthropic's relationship with the US government and the real-world impact on users. If you want a channel that shields your preferred politician from criticism when their administration does something petty or stupid, this is the wrong channel. He can't credibly cover corruption in Malaysia or the EU while staying quiet about stupid moves by his own government.

He's done this for 14 years and he expects to keep doing it for 14 more. What he says comes from the heart, not from a party preference, not from sponsors. The Anthropic / Trump-administration friction isn't a one-off news cycle — it's a moment for the whole industry to reconsider how tech companies relate to government. That's the implicit subtext under the explicit topic.
