Anthropic Warned Against AI Acceleration, Then Released Claude Fable 5

Until last week, Anthropic was arguing that frontier AI development needed coordinated restraint. It then turned around and released Claude Fable 5 publicly. That contrast drives the video, which presents Fable 5 not just as another model launch but as a symbol of a company that speaks in the language of safety while still pushing powerful systems into the market.

The creator reads the move partly as expectation-setting ahead of an IPO, while also acknowledging that this level of excitement would not exist if the model lacked real substance.
